Saved?, Being Saved? Will Be Saved?
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (KJV)
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (NIV)
Three Tenses of "Being Saved"
- Have been saved: From the penalty of sin;Positional (Ephesians 2:8-9, 2 Timothy 1:19, Titus 3:5) - Called justification salvation.
- Are being saved: From the Power of sin; Operationally, by the Holy Spirit, moment-by-moment; (Romans 6, 1 Corinthians 1:18, 15:1-2, 2 Corinthians 2:15) -Called sanctification.
- Shall be saved; from the presence of sin; (Romans 8:23, 5:9, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, 1 Peter 1:5) - Called " the redemption of our body ".

Run for the Prize
