Preaching to make money?

v.17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

 v. 17 You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority, knowing that God is watching us.  (NLT)

"hucksters" def: A huckster is a person who sells small articles, either door-to-door or from a stall or small store, like a certain type of peddler, pedlar or hawker.

Kind of rings a bell in my mind of "if you send us a gift of $???.?? we will send you this".

Know No Man after the Flesh

Challenging verses to remember when on Facebook or any other Social Media.
(One of the main reasons why i stepped back from social media for now).

15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV)

15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (ESV)

I had an experience recently in a personal conversation that makes this passage so hard to follow.

2 Corinthians 5:16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! (NLT)
